Committees&Teams
Much of the work of Second Baptist Church is done through various ministry teams and committees that are made up of church members who are willing to serve.
Committees are generally administrative in nature, often involving data collection and analysis, report/recommendation and decision making. Note that some committees require specialized background experience. Committee work is very important and requires people with administrative skills and attention to detail.
Ministry teams are more action oriented and involve implementing programs that directly help people in some tangible way. Most ministries don’t usually require special experience, just willingness to help. Some ministries will provide you with the training you need to start ministering to others. Ministry teams are for people who want to be engaged in the practical business of helping people.
